Privacy Policy

Hoptown 2050 is a community initiative hosted by Russ Guffey for Mayor. This policy explains what information we collect when you fill out the Hoptown 2050 invitation, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built this initiative on trust, and we treat your information accordingly.

What we collect

When you complete the invitation, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, and phone number.
• The ward you live in, your age range, and how long you've called Hoptown home.
• Your written responses about Hoptown — your story, what you hope to preserve, and your vision for 2050.
• A photo, only if you choose to upload or send one.
• How you heard about Hoptown 2050, and your preferences for how we may contact you and use your story.

How we use your information

We use what you share to reach you about the Civic Imagination Workshop and the Hoptown 2050 initiative, and to shape the workshop, its materials, and the final report. Your responses help us understand what this community wants its future to be.

We do not sell or share your information

We will never sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties for their own use. We may rely on trusted service providers to help us operate this initiative, such as the platform that hosts this form and sends our messages. Those providers only process your information on our behalf and under our instruction.

Stories and photos

We may feature stories and photos in workshop materials, the final report, and in how Hoptown 2050 is presented, including a community photo mosaic. We only do this in line with the permission you give on the invitation. If you'd rather your story stay just for this invitation, tell us there and we'll honor it.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, we'll text you updates about the workshop. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, and HELP for help. Opting in to texts is optional and is never required to take part.

How we protect and keep your information

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share and keep it only as long as we need it for the Hoptown 2050 initiative. When it's no longer needed, we take steps to remove it.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information you've given us, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time. Just reach out using the contact below and we'll take care of it.
