Hoptown 2050 · A proactive plan for prosperity.

Let's build the Hoptown of 2050 together.

Everyone can have a seat at this table.

Hoptown 2050 is a community conversation about what our home could be — and an invitation to help shape it.

Join us.

Takes about 15–20 minutes. Invitations close Monday, August 24.

The Invitation

You're invited to join us as we work together to shape our future.

Tell us about…

01

You

Who you are, and what part of town you call home.

02

Your Hoptown

Your people, your places, your story.

03

Your 2050

What should never change — and what's still missing.

04

Your October

Whether you can join us at the Civic Imagination Workshop.

Share your vision.

What is Hoptown 2050?

Hoptown 2050 is a group of neighbors who will map out the next twenty-five years of this town — and then help build it.

This October, we're convening a Civic Imagination Workshop, where people from every ward sit down together and work out what we want this place to be by 2050. Not a survey that gets filed. A room where the work actually happens.

We aspire to be unique, yet united.

If Hoptown's future is on your heart, then this is the room for you. Filling out this invitation is the first step to getting in it.

One Ground Rule

Tell us what could be, not what's wrong.

Every town has a list of complaints. That list already gets aired at every meeting and on every Facebook thread in the county. This isn't that.

Less this

“I can't believe we got another car wash.”

More this

“I'd love more shops selling what folks here actually make.”

Same information. Completely different conversation. Only one of them can be built.

We'll use your responses to shape our workshop.

Your answers are the raw material for October — the visions people work from, the specific asks that get pressure-tested, the words that become the picture of what this town wants, and who we want to be.

If you can't be there in October, your answers still go in the room.

Some of what you send may show up in workshop materials, the final report, and in what Hoptown 2050 comes to look like — including a community photo mosaic.

Questions

Who's behind this?

Hoptown 2050 is an initiative of Russ Guffey, who's running for mayor. Worth saying plainly. But the initiative is built to outlast any one campaign and any one administration — the whole point is a plan this community makes for itself, and that only works if it belongs to everybody.

Do I have to come in October to participate?

No. Tell us on the invitation and we'll keep you in the loop. Your answers go into the workshop either way, and there will be other ways to weigh in as this goes.

Who actually gets a seat?

The room has a size limit; the initiative doesn't. We're after a real cross-section — every ward, every age, people who've been here eighty years and people who got here through Fort Campbell last spring. If the October room fills up before we get to you, you're still part of this, and we'll tell you exactly how.

Why do you need my phone number?

So we can reach you about the workshop. We will never sell or share your information.

What if I'd rather not do this online?

⟦Phone number / PDF path — still needed⟧

What happens after October?

The workshop produces something — a picture of what this community wants by 2050, in its own words. Where it goes from there is part of what gets decided in the room.

Hop on.

Everyone can have a seat at this table. They just have to claim it.
